We investigate the influence of external electric fields on the spins of a ballistic nanowire in terms of variations of the Rashba parameter and modification of the confinement potential. For a weak Rashba effect, the spins along the confinement direction in a given subband nearly assume full quantization. In the presence of a perpendicular magnetic field, the state of quantization can be manipulated using a transverse electric. This process requires modifications in the spin textures. If an in-plane magnetic field is applied, spins suffer rigid displacement to one edge of the wire and their expectation value becomes independent of the transverse electric field. 相似文献

Interactions of three transverse modes are investigated in a waveguide with periodic walls. Resonances of two guided wave modes always result in forbidden bands for wave propagations when the wavenumber matching conditions are satisfied. As a third mode is involved due to the selected wall corrugations, we find that a single high-order mode can penetrate through the forbidden band based on the complex interactions. A method for generating a single high-order transverse mode is proposed by manipulating the multimode interactions. The numerical simulations on acoustic waveguides, showing the extreme suppression of the unwanted modes in the Bragg and non-Bragg gaps, demonstrate the validity and the efficiency of the proposed method. 相似文献

An overview is presented of the phase changes as well as certain relaxation characteristics of model quantum magnets, magnetic glasses and proton glasses. Although the systems considered are quite varied, they are connected by the common themes of tunneling, transverse Ising model, long-ranged interactions and above all, the occurrence of quantum phase transitions. Because the interactions are long-ranged, mean-field theory is eminently suitable for analyzing both the equilibrium and nonequilibrium properties. This paper gives an overview of the methods developed for tissue motion estimation using transverse oscillation images (TO). TO images are specific radiofrequency ultrasound images featuring oscillations in both spatial directions. The initial studies on TO were published in the late 1990s. This paper reviews the main ideas and applications behind this motion estimation approach. First the origin and motivation of TO is briefly reviewed. Then the beamforming methods that lead to TO images are given, detailing the receive-only approach and the transmit-and-receive approach using synthetic aperture data. The different medical applications where TO has been used are discussed (blood flow, elastography and echocardiography), showing how it can improve motion estimation. 预载是一种有效抑制高温超导磁悬浮系统中由横向运动引起的悬浮力衰减的方法,但目前研究仅停留在概念验证阶段,尚未对影响预载效果的一些因素进行详细地分析和研究.利用高温超导磁悬浮测试系统,本文通过改变块材的冷却条件(场冷和零场冷)、悬浮高度以及轨道磁场结构、材料性能等实验研究了不同预载高度下YB-CO块材的悬浮力随横向运动次数的变化关系,得到这些因素对预载条件下悬浮力随横向运动变化情况影响的规律.结果表明,预载高度越低,由横向运动引起的悬浮力变化越快地趋于稳定,但悬浮力的稳定值也越小,并且这一现象不随冷却条件、悬浮高度、轨道磁场结构和材料性能等因素的改变而变化. 相似文献

Flow dynamics, in-line and transverse forces exerted on an oscillating circular cylinder in a fluid initially at rest are studied by numerical resolution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. The Keulegan-Carpenter number is held constant at KC=10 and Re is increased from 40 to 500. For the different flow regimes, links between flow spatio-temporal symmetries and force histories are established. Besides simulations of long duration show that in two ranges of Re, forces exhibit low frequency fluctuations compared to the cylinder oscillation frequency. Such observations have been only mentioned in the literature and are more deeply examined here. In both ranges, force fluctuations correspond to oscillations of the front and rear stagnation points on the cylinder surface. However, they occur in flow regimes whose basic patterns (V-shaped mode or diagonal mode) have different symmetry features, inducing two distinct behaviors. For 80≤Re≤100, fluctuations are related to a spectral broadening of the harmonics and to a permutation between three vortex patterns (V-shaped, transverse and oblique modes). In the second range 150≤Re≤280, amplitude fluctuations are correlated to the appearance of low frequency peaks interacting with harmonics of the cylinder frequency. Fluctuations are then a combination of a wavy fluctuation and an amplitude modulation. The carrier frequency corresponding to the wavy fluctuation depends on Re and is related to a fluid characteristic time; the modulation frequency is independent of Re and equal to 1/4 of the cylinder oscillation frequency. 相似文献
